We are currently working on an initial strategic framework for the development of a lending platform for the BIM Protocol, with the first implementation expected to be deployed on the Base blockchain.
The goal is to build an infrastructure that is agile, secure, and transparent, designed to address a real market need while establishing strong foundations for future protocol expansion.
In this initial approach, the following assets are being considered:
cbETH, cbBTC, cbADA, cbXRP, cbLTC, cbDOGE, and BIM
All of these assets would be available as collateral (supply).
They would also be available for borrowing (borrow), except for BIM, which would not be borrowable in the first version.
This first phase is intended to define:
-
market parameters,
-
risk factors,
-
collateral thresholds,
-
the overall protocol structure,
-
and the broader consistency of the economic model.
The objective is to identify a strong market fit by building a solution that enables these assets to be used more efficiently in a smoother and more coherent environment.
There are already external platforms, including cross-chain platforms, where assets such as cbETH and cbBTC can be used as collateral. However, these solutions do not always meet the standards we are targeting in terms of execution speed, transparency, security, and censorship resistance.
With BIM, the ambition is therefore to propose a clearer, more robust, and more DeFi-aligned approach, with a strong focus on architecture quality, reliable lending mechanisms, and transparent risk management.
