[TEMP CHECK] Integration of Avalanche Blockchain on BIM Exchange

Summary

This TEMP CHECK aims to gather community feedback on the potential integration of the Avalanche (AVAX) blockchain into BIM Exchange.

The proposed integration would include:

  • :white_check_mark: Buy
  • :white_check_mark: Sell
  • :white_check_mark: Swap
  • :white_check_mark: Bridge

If the community shows strong support, a formal DAO governance proposal (BIP) will be submitted for an official vote.

Context

Avalanche is one of the leading Layer 1 blockchains in the crypto ecosystem.

Unlike Layer 2 solutions, Avalanche operates its own consensus mechanism and infrastructure, allowing it to provide:

  • Fast transaction finality
  • Low transaction fees
  • EVM compatibility
  • A mature DeFi ecosystem
  • Strong institutional adoption

Since its launch, Avalanche has consistently ranked among the largest blockchain ecosystems by market capitalization and Total Value Locked (TVL).

Why Avalanche Now?

Recently, the Aave team announced plans to expand Aave V4 to additional ecosystems, including Avalanche.

Aave is one of the largest DeFi protocols in the industry, managing billions of dollars in liquidity.

Historically, the deployment of Aave on a blockchain has often resulted in:

  • Increased liquidity
  • Higher TVL
  • More users and developers
  • Growth of the surrounding ecosystem

We believe Avalanche may enter a new growth cycle as Aave V4 attracts fresh liquidity and activity to the network.

Proposed Integration

If approved through a future governance vote, BIM Exchange would integrate Avalanche for:

Buy

Allow users to purchase Avalanche-native assets through BIM Exchange.

Sell

Allow users to sell Avalanche-based assets directly from the platform.

Swap

Provide access to Avalanche liquidity through BIM Exchange’s aggregation layer.

Bridge

Enable cross-chain transfers between Avalanche and supported BIM Exchange networks.

Strategic Vision

BIM Exchange’s long-term objective is to become:

The “OnlyOne” DeFi platform and an aggregator of aggregators for Buy, Sell, Swap, Bridge, and Staking.

To achieve this vision, BIM Exchange must continuously integrate high-potential ecosystems that can bring:

  • More users
  • More liquidity
  • More TVL
  • More protocol revenues

The BIM Labs Team believes Avalanche could become one of the most active ecosystems again throughout 2026 and therefore represents a strategic opportunity for BIM Exchange.

Potential Benefits

  • Access to Avalanche’s growing ecosystem
  • Increased protocol usage
  • Additional revenue opportunities
  • Diversification of supported blockchains
  • Strong positioning ahead of a potential Avalanche growth cycle

Question for the Community

Would you support the future integration of the Avalanche blockchain into BIM Exchange for:

  • Buy
  • Sell
  • Swap
  • Bridge

Discussion

We encourage all community members to share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions before a formal BIP is drafted.

Your feedback will help determine whether the BIM DAO should move forward with a governance proposal for Avalanche integration.

I support the idea overall. Avalanche is still one of the strongest L1 ecosystems and having Buy, Sell, Swap and Bridge support on BIM makes sense.

A few things I’d love more clarity on before a formal BIP:

  • Why Avalanche over other growing ecosystems right now?
  • Will support be limited to C-Chain initially?
  • Which DEXs and bridge providers would BIM be integrating with?
  • Are there any estimates on the expected increase in users, volume or protocol revenue from this integration?

I also think adding a short section on risks and success metrics would strengthen the proposal. For example, what does a successful Avalanche integration look like 6-12 months after launch?

Overall, I think it’s a solid proposal and I’d be interested to hear more about the reasoning behind Avalanche being chosen at this stage of BIM’s expansion.

Thank you for the support and for the thoughtful questions.

Avalanche was chosen because it remains one of the strongest and most established L1 ecosystems, with solid DeFi activity, strong infrastructure, fast transactions, and clear relevance for BIM’s Buy, Sell, Swap, and Bridge model. The goal is to expand BIM into ecosystems where we can bring immediate utility and cross-chain value.

At launch, support would most likely be focused on C-Chain first, as it is the main DeFi environment on Avalanche and the most efficient entry point for integration.

For DEX and bridge infrastructure, BIM would rely on Bungee, a swap and bridge aggregator already natively integrated into BIM Exchange. This allows us to access existing liquidity and routing efficiently without requiring dedicated liquidity or a market maker.

In terms of impact, the integration is expected to help BIM attract Avalanche users, increase swap and bridge activity, and generate additional protocol revenue through higher multi-chain usage.

A successful Avalanche integration after 6–12 months would mean stronger user activity on Avalanche routes, sustained volume, more cross-chain transactions, and a positive contribution to protocol revenue.
