To accelerate community growth and increase daily activity, I propose launching a BIM Community Engagement Event powered by a community engagement bot on Telegram or Discord.
The goal is simple: reward active community members while organically growing the BIM ecosystem.
This initiative would incentivize daily participation, meaningful discussions, and organic community expansion through invites.
Event Duration
Proposed duration: 14β30 days.
This timeframe is long enough to build momentum while also allowing the team to measure engagement metrics and community growth effectively.
How Users Earn Engagement Points
Daily Check-In β 10 Points
Members check in once every 24 hours using #BiMers
Encourages daily activity and community presence
Chat & Messages β 2 Points per Valid Message
Minimum 5 meaningful words required
Spam or low-quality messages will not be counted
Invite Friends β 20 Points per Valid Invite
Users generate their personal invite link using /link
Invited users must remain active to be counted as valid
Community Activities β 10 Points per Session
Participation in quizzes, discussions, AMAs, or other community events
Rewards
Top participants will receive $BIM rewards.
1st Place: X $BIM
2nd Place: X $BIM
3rd Place: X $BIM
Top 10 participants share an additional reward pool.
This reward structure encourages both competition and consistent engagement across the community.
Important Rules
Fake or multiple accounts are strictly prohibited
Only valid invites will be counted
Spam or repeated messages may lead to disqualification
BIM reserves the right of final interpretation
Improvement 1: Engagement Bot Integration
To ensure fairness and automation, the event should be managed using a community engagement bot that can:
β’ Track daily check-ins automatically
β’ Monitor message quality and activity levels
β’ Generate personal invite links
β’ Maintain a real-time leaderboard
This ensures transparent tracking of engagement points and reduces manual moderation workload.
Improvement 2: Public Leaderboard & Weekly Mini Rewards
A public leaderboard should be visible to the community during the event.
Benefits:
β’ Encourages healthy competition
β’ Keeps members motivated to stay active
β’ Allows transparency in the reward system
Additionally, weekly mini rewards could be introduced to maintain momentum:
Weekly Top 3 active members receive small $BIM bonuses.
This prevents users from losing motivation and keeps engagement consistent throughout the event period.
Expected Impact
This initiative could help:
β’ Increase daily active community members
β’ Drive organic user acquisition through invites
β’ Strengthen community interaction and loyalty
β’ Improve BIMβs visibility across social platforms
By turning participation into rewards, the BIM ecosystem can cultivate a stronger, more engaged community while expanding its user base organically.
Great proposal. This kind of community engagement event can significantly boost activity and bring real energy into the BIM ecosystem.
Rewarding daily participation, meaningful conversations, and organic invites is a smart way to grow a strong and loyal community. The idea of using an automated engagement bot with a public leaderboard also adds transparency and fairness to the process.
If implemented well, this could drive more active users, stronger discussions, and long-term growth for the BIM community. Looking forward to seeing this initiative come to life.
Yeah..thanks for your feedback
Thank you for taking the time to write and share this proposal. It is always encouraging to see community members suggesting ideas to strengthen engagement and help grow the BIM ecosystem.
The idea of a gamified community event with a point system, leaderboard, and automated tracking through a bot is interesting. A limited duration (14β30 days) could indeed allow the team to test such an initiative and evaluate its impact on community activity.
That said, it is important to note that BIM already has a community incentive program in place. This program provides monthly rewards to members who bring real value to the community through meaningful discussions, protocol feedback, constructive questions, and sharing real experiences using BIM.
The goal of this system is to prioritize quality contributions rather than message volume. In that context, it is important to remain cautious about mechanisms that might encourage artificial activity, such as daily check-ins or point systems primarily based on message counts. Even with moderation rules, these structures can sometimes lead to low-value messages or spam.
It is also important that community initiatives remain aligned with the protocolβs main objective: fostering meaningful discussions around DeFi, the product, and strategies, while encouraging real adoption of BIM.
That said, the idea of experimenting with new formats to energize the community remains valuable. An adapted version focused more on qualitative contributions or on protocol usage could potentially be explored in the future.
Thank you again for this proposal and for your involvement in the BIM community.
